My Search for the best Washington beach

For as long as I can remember I have loved the outdoors. Living in the northwest has given me an abundance of opportunities to enjoy the lush forests, the high deserts, the majestic mountains and the beautiful waters of the Pacific. I enjoy many outdoor activities but my favorite past time is finding the best Washington beach. This obsession started long ago but it is just recently that I decided to share my adventures. Not all Washington beaches provide the same appeal to everyone. Even within my family, our taste in beaches varies greatly. That is what inspired me revisit all the beaches I have before and document what makes that particular location unique or appealing.

For the sake of defining a beach I used the loose definition of any body of water containing a shore for the public to visit. I know I won’t be able to visit every beach in Washington state but I hope to share my adventures as they unfold. the great thing about major beaches is that they have their own culture attached to them. Many ocean beaches have shops, restaurants and history that create a special experience. In many cases the beach towns in Washington are just as amazing as the beach itself.

Why I blog

It is exciting to go out and explore a new beach or a new area in general. At times I do find myself searching for some a specific experience. When I am traveling with my daughter it is especially important to know what to expect. Knowing what restaurants are available and where the bathrooms are at can be a life saver. My goal of this blog is to provide more than the obvious stats on Washington beaches. My goal is to give my insight on what makes a location special. I will just write about what I see and feel from a beach and let the reader decide wether it is a destination worth reaching.
