Mossyrock Park

Camping at Mossyrock

Mossyrock park is a wonderful family destination on the edge of Riffe lake located in Lewis county. The park does its best to provide that memorable summer camp experience through its many entertaining amenities. Mossyrock park is available for day use or camping with over 152 individual campsites and 2 primitive group sites. 76 of the campsites have water and electric additionally there is a dump station available. What appeals to me most for my family is 2 playgrounds for the kids, plenty of picnic tables and grills horseshoe pits, a volleyball net, frisbee golf and a dog park. Wether it is for a day or for a weekend, it is easy to stay entertained at Mossyrock park. The campsites themselves are in open areas however, so they will not satisfy those looking for privacy. On the bright side, this arrangement encourages you to get to know your fellow campers.

Day use activities at Mossyrock park

There are 2 kitchen sheds with water and electricity provided. Alcohol is prohibited within the kitchen sheds so please keep that in mind. The beach itself is small yet it provides a wonderful place for swimming. The sand has quite a few pebbles however so it is advised to bring chairs if you will be spending time on the shore. There is a boat ramp of course and the water is calm and perfect for water sports. The water itself is quite murky in my opinion but that could be a seasonal thing.

The restrooms are modern and kept very clean. There is also a fish cleaning station provided to make cleaning your fish easier and more sanitary. If you find that you want a snack or didn’t bring everything you need you may find it at the snack shack located in the park. In addition to all that Mossyrock provides it is in a clean beautiful peaceful place in the world and well worth the trip and cost. There is a day use fee, however it is less than admission for one person to see a movie these days.
